Locke Harris coaches a Special Olympics power lifting team and Aaron Tate is one of four athletics on his team. They participated in the Louisiana Special Olympics power lifting event this past May in Hammond. Aaron won three gold medals for his weight class (125 lbs.). He just participated in the Louisiana Summer Classic power lifting meet in Abbeville at Abbeville High School on July 18th. This meet was an open meet but it included a Special Olympics and High School division as well. Aaron won his weight class 125 lbs for the total lifts in the bench press, squat, and deadlift. He won a first place trophy that was presented to him on August 12th at an awards ceremony. Congratulations Aaron & thanks Locke! Great job, to both of you!
