Have you heard about the new running class at Red's? It's not just running! This class incorporates strength, conditioning and cross training designed to make participants stronger and faster runners. The class meets in the MIT Building but utilizes multiple club areas both indoors and out. The "Fit to Run" class is open to anyone who would like to become a stronger faster runner. Whether aiming to run a mile or training for your first 5k, we will tailor the workouts to meet your goals.
Two Red's members, Jennifer Angelle and Beth Domingue signed onto the class last fall. Beth and Jennifer both worked very hard during our "Fit to Run" class in preparation for the Rock and Roll Mardi Gras Half Marathon in New Orleans this past weekend. Jennifer rocked the race by shaving six minutes off her last half-marathon time. In her very first half-marathon, Beth's average pace was a whole minute per mile faster than her average pace for a 10k race she did in November. Way to go ladies!
Here is what they have to say about the class:
"I've seen vast improvements in my running and overall fitness in a short amount of time. Accomplishing goals like a 10k and half marathon could not have been done without this class. I felt I was always counseled on the right way to train so to decrease chance for injury as well as encouraged and motivated to push myself to the next level. It has been an awesome experience for me!! And I've made some great friends along the way!" Beth Domingue
"A is for Awesome Anne!. The class provides smart balanced personalized training. Accomplish goals injury free while honoring individual abilities!" Jennifer Angelle
The class is held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30am. Space is limited, so visit to Front Desk to sign up soon!
