Christmas is here, along with all the wonderful foods and drinks to go with it! Holiday foods can be delicious and healthy at the same time; you just have to do your homework first. Let’s compare 2 holiday favorite drinks, eggnog and apple cider. Can you guess what the better option is?! This week when you want to cozy by the fire, reach for a hot glass of apple cider and enjoy! Apple cider is sweetened from its natural fruit sugars so it contains half the sugar content of eggnog, plus it has about 1/3 of the calories and is fat and cholesterol free! For a added bonus, use a cinnamon stick as a stirrer to punch up the flavor. Take a look and compare 8 oz of each drink:
