Studies for years have shown that dehydration can negatively affect physical performance, but now we are seeing it has negative affects on much more. A study done by the Journal of Nutrition found that even a minimal amount of dehydration at 1.36% significantly increased symptoms of headaches and decreased levels of mood and concentration. WOW! Don’t rely on thirst to inform you to drink, by the time you are thirsty you are already dehydrated. So aim for those 8 glasses a day; it will even make you happier! Tip: carry a water bottle everywhere with you, and make it a habit to sip all day long. Try to get in 3-4 bottles daily.
