Is your body a PALACE OR A PRISON? In our society, there are examples of both and the way we treat our bodies, determines where in the spectrum we reside. As we’ve learned in history, the short definition of the word, PALACE, is imperial residence. This structure was usually a place that housed and protected leaders of society. Similar to the human body that contains all the vital organs it needs to stay alive. These beacons would also attract people from far away places for business and other social purposes. A lot goes into the creation and maintenance of a PALACE. For example, The Taj Mahal took over 20 years to build with more than 20, 000 workers.
A PRISON on the other hand is a place of confinement or captivity. This is a place in which limitations rule. Like the air you breathe or the way you move, any control of expression is dictated by elements in which you have no control over. A PRISON is a place you cannot escape from.
Now that these entities have been distinguished, you have to choose how you would define your body. A person who treats their body like a PALACE understands that :
-It takes consistent up keep.
-It protects whatever is within the walls.
-Serves as a beacon for others to follow .
A person who’s body becomes a PRISON :
-Has an unbalanced intake of nutrients.
-Has limitations of movement and or psychological expression.
-Is vulnerable to disease whether common or major.
It is important to understand that you can’t go back and undo all damage that has already been done to your body but you can start now and move forward towards more freedom. It starts with knowledge of self. Understanding your own physical and personality traits allows you to establish a starting point. Utilizing resources in your community is one key to opening the doors to that freedom. Making the choice to execute your plan is “simple but not easy” . Once it is done, forward progress will be more accessible. And finally, being consistent in your execution, will help to promote your progression and resiliency.
The reality is that these two terms are extreme in nature. Most human beings have a choice physically. For those that don’t, it boils down to their psychological perspective and or attitude. It is not in our nature to stay completely still which is why we ALL fall or fail, so let’s be steady and work towards the PALACE which is the best version of yourselves that YOU CAN BE!!!!
