Congratulations to Ashlyn Hunt, a Freshman at Lafayette High, who won the 100 Fly. Paul Ahluwalia, a lifeguard at Red’s, attends Episcopal School of Acadiana and won the 50 Freestyle. Nathan Borel, also a lifeguard at Red’s, attends Lafayette High School and successfully defended his title by again winning the 100 Backstroke. Ashlyn and Nathan’s performances this year at the State Championships shattered the old record times of both Lafayette High School and the Southwest Louisiana Swim League. As a Freshman, Ashlyn will be making waves for Lafayette Swimming for years to come. Nathan, now a senior, is working hard with hopes of swimming for the LSU Tigers after graduation this year. Congratultions to these young adults.
