What? Yes, fruit and vegetable consumption has a direct correlation with increasing a person’s attractiveness. How so? In a study done at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, they discovered that eating 3-3.5 portions of fruits and vegetables per day can not only make you healthier, it can make Caucasians look more attractive by giving skin tone a carotenoid boost in only a few weeks. The study was published in the February 2012 issue of American Journal of Public Health and was conducted on 35 participants who were without makeup, self tanning agents, and UV exposure. A six week change was significantly seen in the skins redness and yellowness tones providing participants with more attractive skin coloration. The amazing thing is it only took 6 weeks and is attainable through a modest diet. Ok so if the fact that increasing fruits and vegetable consumptions has major health benefits doesn’t get you on the bandwagon, maybe this diet induced natural tan will.
