Well it’s DAY 3 and much has changed (as of now). The press release last night was surreal with the release of the news of OUR 1st 2 documented cases of COVID-19. Now we are talking home, Lafayette, Acadiana, our friends, neighbors, family. . . .it’s HERE. . . . .it’s REAL! We continue to pray for our members and our community to be safe, well and healthy.
That being said. . . .the mayor has notified us that we can open our outdoor tennis facility to our members (only). That means that the tennis gate is open and you may play outdoor tennis, use the outdoor track and obstacle course. So here is our double-edged sword. . . .you can stay active . . . but we cannot stress enough that you should please continue to use the CDC guidelines: wash hands often, keep your distance, avoid social contact.
Therefore we do have some restrictions:
The outdoor facility will be open during these hours only
Monday – Friday, 5:00am-7:30pm
Saturday & Sunday, 5:00am- 4:00pm
Under no circumstances may you enter the building.
Towels are NOT provided and please bring your own container for water.
We do have tennis balls to purchase courtside.
For tennis reservations call Dianne (337-288-0299)
Check-in at the back gate in the parking lot.
Hope you can take advantage of this small glimmer of sunshine in this dark time. But. . . . .be safe, protect yourself and your neighbors. We are all in this together. UNITED we stand!
