I wanted to share this really cool website I came across, www.healthydiningfinder.com. It’s a website that basically
gives you healthy choices when eating out. All you have to do is go to the website, put in your zip
code, and it lists all restaurants in that zip code that have meet the
nutrition criteria set by their team of registered dietitians. Each healthy menu item at the
restaurant is listed along with the nutritional information. It also includes menu items that are “Sodium
Savy” (under 750 mg sodium) and items that meet criteria for their “Kids
LiveWell” program. These entrees
must be 600 calories or less, and also meet fat, saturated fat, sugars, and
sodium criteria. The website also
has healthy recipes from these restaurants and daily nutrition tips. When I typed in our zip code at Reds I
got great choices from Bonefish, Zoes, Chilis, Outback, and much more. Really neat website that makes healthy
eat out easy (which is really hard to do), Check it out!
