Red Grapes contain a compound
called resveratrol in their skin.
Resveratol is known for its heart-healthy benefits but now studies are
showing it may help reduce symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid
arthritis. In a recent study,
researchers found that injections of resveratrol helped sooth inflamed joints
in animals. While it has not yet
been determined how much dietary resveratrol is needed to help inflammation,
grapes have many other dietary pluses so adding them to your diet can’t hurt!
Here are a few other foods that you
may want to add to your diet that may help ease arthritis symptoms:
1. Strawberries
– rich in Vitamin C that may hinder progression of arthritis
2. Olive
Oil – contains polyphenols that may reduce inflammation
3. Salmon
– rich in Vitamin D and Omega Fatty Acids that may help with pain and
inflammation
4. Green
Tea – rich in catechins that reduce inflammation
5. leafy
Greens – rich in Vitamin K, a nutrient that aids in arthritis prevention
