    Estelle CP  A proper balanced diet is essential for overall health;
however there are a few foods that have been shown to be more effective than
others when it comes to protecting the skin.  With the summer sun here, add these foods to your diet to
    help your skin revive itself.

    1.  Low fat
dairy products:  such as skim milk
of fat free yogurt is high in vitamin A which helps skin cells regenerate at a
    faster rate.

    2.  Berries:  such as strawberries, blackberries,
raspberries, and cranberries are high in antioxidants which help prevent free
    radicals from damaging skin.

    3.  Pomegranates
    and Pomegranate juice:  contain an
antioxidant called anthocyanin which strengthens blood vessels that provides
    nutrients to the skin.

    4.  Omega 3
    Fatty Acids:  salmon, halibut,
walnuts, sardines, soybeans and flax seeds are all high in this nutrient which
has been shown to reduce clogged pores and inflammatory agents that can cause
    dry and damaged skin.

    5.  Green
Tea:  is high in vitamins A, D and
K which can help give skin a more even and natural look. (you often find green
    tea in skin creams)

    6.  Whole
Grains:  are loaded in B vitamins
which help to displace dead skin cells and regulate the growth of new cells.

    7.  Vitamin
    E:  sunflower seeds, almonds, spinach,
papaya, and collard greens are all high in this vitamin which helps protect the
    skin from sun damage.
